![]() Licensed Clinical Social Worker Main Jail Days- SOM: Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences- Sacramento Campus Department Description Closing Date : 1/22/2021 Interviews may be held at any time Salary Range : $44.68 - $58.96 Salary Frequency : Hourly Appointment Type : Career Percentage of Time : 1.0 Shift Hour : 08:00-16:30 Monday- Friday Location : Sacramento County Main Jail (Primary location) City : Sacramento Union Representation : Yes Benefits Eligible : Yes We offer exceptional employment benefits including medical, dental, and vision plans, generous paid vacations and holidays, excellent retirement savings and investment plans, continuing education, and reduced fee and scholarship programs. THIS IS NOT AN H1- B OPPORTUNITY Responsibilities The Licensed Clinical Social Worker provides clinical social work evaluations, counseling, monitoring of medication side effects under the direction of a Psychiatrist, case management, and the implementation of W & I 5150. Also included are pre-release planning, crisis intervention, and the maintenance of an ongoing caseload, documentation, triage, consultation, training, education, and referral. Special Requirements This position may be subject to a criminal background investigation, drug screen, Live Scan fingerprinting, medical evaluation clearance, and functional capacity assessment. Work is performed with many interruptions during the day. Must be able to work effectively within a stressful, hazardous environment with rapidly changing priorities and deadlines. Willingness to work under an institutional 'No Hostage Policy.' Must be able to pass and maintain the Sacramento Sheriff Department's Security Clearance. Ability to work in a highly stressful jail custody setting, with incarcerated Inmates which may present hazardous conditions, including working In a potentially crowded, malodorous, and noisy environment, of a highly restrictive and confining nature. Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including holidays and weekends, as scheduled and assigned. Required Qualifications Master's Degree from an accredited School of Social Work, and possession of a Clinical Social Worker License Issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences Examiners Master's Degree from an accredited School of Social Work Clinical work experience in a social service or healthcare setting (such as case management or social worker). Proven ability to manage conflict Experience taking psychosocial history and case management evaluations, Including interview techniques, suicide assessments, and forensic designations Knowledge and skills in the areas of individual, group, and family therapy Basic understanding of community resources Demonstrated awareness of, and sensitivity to, dealings with cultural and socioeconomic diversity Basic understanding of computer and MS functionality Knowledge of child, elder abuse, and domestic violence reporting requirements, and other significant legislation and laws regulating social work practice, for example, Tarasoff, and patient confidentiality.
