 Clinical Nurse (RN) - Cardiology Outpatient Services Department Description UC Davis Cardiology Outpatient Services provide a full spectrum of advanced, sophisticated treatments for heart disease, including high blood pressure, coronary heart disease and congestive heart failure. THIS IS NOT AN H1- B OPPORTUNITY Responsibilities Registered Nurses in the Cardiology Outpatient Services department at UC Davis Medical Center provide care to adult patients with a variety of medical (medical surgical, critical care, emergent, perioperative) needs. Patient conditions include: coronary artery disease, heart valve disease, heart failure, and heart rhythm disorders. The Heart Failure Care Coordinators oversee the care of UC Davis Heart Failure Clinic patients. The RN manages the EMR list of Heart Failure Clinic patients. The position is responsible for reviewing new lab results, reports, and remote pulmonary artery pressure monitoring for these patients. At clinic appointments, the RN is responsible for medication management (teaching, compliance, reconciliation}, disease management (HF education, lab draws, physical assessment, diuretic administration), and supports the HF physicians and NP. Special Requirements References reflect an overall meets or exceeds. Ability to work overtime, float to other areas and work weekends and holidays. Ability to safely lift 25 lbs. and assist in moving patients, and stand on feet over extended periods This position may be subject to a criminal background investigation, drug screen, Live Scan fingerprinting, medical evaluation clearance, and functional capacity assessment.
