The OHSU Knight Cancer Institute's Department of Radiation Medicine's Research Associate is responsible for the oversight and management of clinical trials. The Research Associate will develop a deep understanding of organizational structure of the research group and assist with developing and maintaining an efficient workflow that will contribute to the growth of Radiation Medicines clinical trial portfolio. Primary duties include evaluating study portfolio and potential new studies, ensuring regulatory compliance by acting as a liaison between the PI, IRB, and sponsoring entity; communicating specific study requirements to the research team; extracting clinical research data from patient charts and fulfilling reporting obligations to institution, sponsoring entities and regulatory agencies. It also includes scheduling of patient visits; providing information regarding eligibility criteria and study schedule to referring physicians; scheduling and coordinating interim monitoring visits for sponsoring entities; coordinating and participating in site initiation visit trainings; facilitating regular research team meetings with study team members and limited management of workload of others in the work group.
