The Chief Nursing Officer will have responsibility for nursing practice at Highlands Ranch Hospital in Highlands Ranch, Colorado as part of UCHealth.
The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) will partner with the President of Highlands Ranch Hospital (HRH) and the Chief Nurse Executive of UCHealth, on a broad range of hospital issues including budgeting, policy development, facilities and service planning, and overall quality of care. The CNO provides leadership, strategic direction and oversight of all departments where patient care is delivered and is responsible for all nursing care delivered at Highlands Ranch Hospital. The CNO utilizes clinical and administrative knowledge to facilitate, measure, evaluate, and interpret care needs of patients and performance of staff while directing activities and meeting the directives established by the health system's mission, vision and values statements.
The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in nursing and a Master's degree in a relevant field (i.e. Nursing, Business, Healthcare related); Minimum five years' Nursing leadership experience preferably at a senior level; Unrestricted RN license from the State of Colorado Board of Nursing or compact privileges under the multi-state Nurse Licensure Compact agreement; National certification in a nursing leadership specialty required; Magnet experience in a healthcare system preferred; Previous experience as a CNO preferred.
