Provides primary care and/or advanced life support, including medical evaluation, treatment and stabilization of the critically ill and injured with the goal of reducing morbidity. Supports existing health services; provides integrated health services in partnership with other health professionals; extends access to health services delivery in under-served and general populations.
Work Schedule: Full Time Days
Responsibilities: Examines, screens, treats and coordinates health services for patients while conducting post-hospital release follow-up care including, but not limited to, monitoring medication, dressing changes, and checking vital signs.
Coordinates appointments and follow-up with physicians and hospitals.
Responds to mental health crisis calls and provides assessment and treatment of patients on scene.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Credentials: Essential: * Advanced Cardiac Life Support * Basic Life Support * Driver's License * EMT-Paramedic * PALS Certification * Certified Community Paramedic
Other information: Minimum Required Education: High School diploma or GED. Required Licensure/Certification: ACLS, BLS and PALS. Current State Licensure as an EMT-P. Certified Community Paramedic. Valid Driver's License. Minimum Experience: 5 years of relevant experience.
IF APPLICABLE: BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. All life support certification cards must be issued by either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. (American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer is only good upon hire and all renewals will need to be through an American Heart Association sanctioned course.)
This position's pay range starts at: $22.540000/hour.
An annual bonus may be paid to eligible employees based upon organizational and individual performance.
