This key Outpatient Oncology Clinical Pharmacist, GU-Oncology Clinic, which is based at our UCHealth Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care to our GU-Oncology patients to assure safe and effective drug therapy.
The GU-Oncology Team at UCHealth, Anschutz Medical Campus, is growing rapidly and offers exciting opportunities to build, and be part of a very rewarding practice. The successful candidate will require independent decision-making, clinical judgement, and in-depth knowledge of GU-Oncology and Therapeutics.
We are looking for a team oriented, patient-focused individual who will work with physicians, nursing staff, and other pharmacists to maximize the benefits of drug therapies and minimize toxicities. The daily activities are diverse and will include, but are not limited to; patient education, medication therapy management, creating and validating protocols and treatment plans in order to assure safe and effective drug therapy, and supporting the GU-Oncology Clinic. The ideal candidate would have PGY2 residency in Oncology, or PGY1 residency + 5 years of Oncology Clinical experience, or no residency and 7 years of Oncology Clinical experience.
Full Time, 1.0 FTE (80 hrs/pp)

Location: Anschutz Cancer Pavilion
Reviews, interprets and evaluates medication regimens to identify, prevent and resolve potential or actual medication-related problems.
Provides patient care by initiating, modifying, and monitoring medication therapy through approved mechanisms that may include therapeutic interchange, collaborative practice agreement, or other strategies.
Provides drug information and education to medical professionals, students, and patients.
Collaborates with care team to develop, implement and evaluate medication management quality improvement efforts.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited school of Pharmacy.
Required Licensure/Certification: State licensure as a Pharmacist and any relevant life support certification as determined at position level.
This position's pay range starts at: $50.760000/hour.
An annual bonus may be paid to eligible employees based upon organizational and individual performance.
