Chaplain II This is a 34 hr/wk, exempt/salary position based at University of Colorado Hospital on the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO. Serves as spiritual care specialist providing spiritual, cultural, emotional and relational care to patients, their family members and organizational staff. Chaplain II also provides education and mentoring.
Job Duties * Performs and documents spiritual visitation, worship services and outreach. * Participates on hospital committees and community boards. * Provides staff support around crisis intervention, trauma, stress and ethical issues. * Teaches classes and in-services designed to educate and provide therapeutic assistance to students, patients, family, staff and the community. * Participates in an interdisciplinary approach to spiritual care and patient health.
Requirements * Master of Divinity Degree or equivalent from an accredited school * Satisfactory completion of four (4) units of the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) CPE. * 1 year of Pastoral experience * Ordained or in the process of ordination or member of a religious vocation and have denominational endorsement. Certification: Association of Professional Chaplains preferred. May require department specific certification.
