The nationally-ranked Orthopedics program at UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital in metro Denver provides expert care and treatment for injuries and conditions involving bones, joints, and muscles. Our highly skilled Orthopedic surgeons perform a wide range of procedures, including arthroscopic surgery, joint preservation, repair, and replacement to relieve chronic hip and knee pain.

There are many conditions and problems that can put your limbs at risk such as infections, tumors, and trauma. At UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital, we feature Osseointegration which is a surgical procedure used for permanent placement of artificial limbs connected to the human skeleton), and Limb Restoration through a collaboration of several specialty services to diagnose, treat and restore limb(s) and return them to function. We specialize in minimally invasive options that use smaller incisions - resulting in less pain and scarring and faster recovery than traditional orthopedic surgery. Should you need surgery, our experienced team performs nearly 6,000 a year! Our inpatient Orthopedic unit, which serves many of these patients, is a 36-bed Med-Surg unit providing care for a range of patients. Requirements:

  Essential:
  * Basic Life Support
  * Registered Nurse
  
• Other information:
  Minimum Required Education: Graduate of an accredited Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years experience. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  Required Licensure/Certification: State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider and any relevant life support certification as determined at position level.
  Minimum Experience: 6 months nursing experience.
• BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. All life support certification cards must be issued by either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. (American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer is only good upon hire and all renewals will need to be through an American Heart Association sanctioned course.)
