Job Summary
*Responsible for direction of patient care activities in the medical/surgical setting.
*Manages staff in the med/surg unit.
*Consults with staff, physicians, and the Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) on nursing problems and interpretation of facility policies to ensure patient needs are met.
*Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in quality improvement activities.
*Assists in formulating the department budget.
*Unencumbered current Colorado Registered Nurse license
*Current BLS certification
*Three or more year's experience in all aspects of critical care nursing
*Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in written
*Additional languages preferred
*Strong written and verbal skills
*Basic computer knowledge
