Bishop Alemany High School is seeking a full time Business Manager. The Business Manager reports directly to the President and collaborates with other members of the President's leadership team. As such, the Business Manager oversees all daily operations and staff of the Business and Tuition Office including but not limited to:
Preparing and monitoring the annual budget at the direction of the President.
Process all payroll data and maintain all payroll records.
Analyzing the many factors that comprise the school budget, such as enrollment, cash flow forecasting, strategic plans, maintenance and tuition collection etc. in order to inform and advise school administrators.
Maintaining annual records of income and expenditures to ensure that all departments are within the budget constraint.
Coordinate all Accounts Payable.
Manage all Accounts Receivable with the Tuition Office.
Record all deposits, journal and payroll entries into the school QuickBooks software.
Prepare the monthly bank reconciliation and the formal monthly report to the Department of Catholic Schools.
Report to the appropriate personnel on the financial status of the various departments, sports, clubs and activities within the school.
Verify the accuracy of all statements received, matching invoices with the Purchase Orders.
Prepare all financial reports required by the Department of Catholic Schools, the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and City, State, County and/or Federal Government agencies.
Stay current and advise the administration on state and federal labor laws.
Maintain an up to date filing system on all purchases, payments, and other financial data for audit purposes.
Attend financial meetings, such as ADP, DCS Bookkeepers or Labor Laws
Prepare and issue Purchase Orders from approved Purchase Order Requests and main an up-to-date filing system on all purchases.
Maintain files of tuition and fees paid, including registration, parent service hours, testing and graduation.
Prepare letters regarding outstanding tuition and fees and to mail them with the approval of the President/Principal.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related field and 5-10 years of successful work experience in the area of finance, accounting, systems operations and/or business administration. Previous Catholic school, private school or related nonprofit experience strongly preferred.
