The Medical Interpreter accurately transmit messages between non-English speaking patients, a Health Care Provider and support personnel, using consecutives and simultaneous interpretation, as well as sight translation. The Medical Interpreter function as intermediary, assisting non English speaking patients in all related communications and coordinating on-site patient needs. The Medical Interpreter will provide education and consultation to providers, patients/families on culturally specific values, beliefs, and practices that are relevant to the health care encounter. The Medical Interpreter will adhere to the National Standard of Practice and the Code of Ethics in Health Care.
The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and customer services skills with a strong cultural awareness competencies and have the ability to work in an emotionally changing and highly stressful environment.

- EDUCATION - H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent
- EXPERIENCE - A minimum of 3 years experience required
