The Michael E Debakey VA Medical Center in Houston, TX is currently recruiting one BC/BE full time clinical genetic counselor to join our team of three genetic counselors and one medical geneticist. The individual hired will also be affiliated with Baylor College of Medicine.
Dynamic, growing clinical practice including an MD Medical Geneticist and a Genetic Counselor in an academic setting providing comprehensive genetic services.
Provide genetic counseling for adults with a broad range of genetic conditions, including (but not limited to) cancer, connective tissue disease, cardiac, and neurologic conditions
Numerous opportunities related to teaching of medical students and residents
Significant opportunity for training and supervising genetic counseling students in the recently developed Baylor College of Medicine Genetic Counselor Training Program
Abundant opportunities to participate in research
The preferred candidate(s) should have good communication skills and enjoy collaboration with patients and colleagues.
