UW Medicine has an exciting opportunity for an experienced per diem (0% FTE, variable days per week), day shift REGISTERED NURSE to join our Medical Specialties Center, located at UW Medical Center - Montlake. The Per Diem Registered Nurse will provide clinical care and triage for medically complex patients in multiple specialty areas, including nephrology, pulmonary care, neurovascular surgery, and cystic fibrosis treatment.
SCHEDULE: The Per Diem Registered Nurse will work 8 hour days, variable days per week. This is a no weekends, no holidays position.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Registered Nurse will be responsible for monitoring patient flow, coordinating patient triage (in person and via telehealth), administering medications, and documenting patient conditions. The Registered Nurse will assess and document the coordination of care within our specialty clinics. The Registered Nurse will also engage and educate patients on ongoing care plans.
2 years of current or recent medical-surgical nursing experience
An active Registered Nurse license in the State of Washington
Recent outpatient nursing experience
Recent phone triage experience
