Responsibilities The Heart and Vascular Center AN II provides daily supervision of all personnel and operational activities related to invasive procedural labs and/or pre & post procedural unit(s). Responsibilities include patient care management, personnel resource management, and unit based supply and equipment management. Additionally, this position is responsible for development and maintenance of staff competencies, policies, procedures, and performance improvement projects. Provides direct patient care within the scope of their license and training. Applies experience and judgment to determine the importance of a situation, set priorities, and use abstract thought to evaluate clinical situations. Participates in patient and staff education. Demonstrates leadership skills. Demonstrates accountability for own practices as defined by the Nurse Practice Act.
Minimum three years recent paid RN experience in invasive Cardiovascular Services or pre/post procedural unit.
ACLS and PALS certification within 6 months of hire.
Possession of valid California RN license.
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Recent supervisory experience.
Ability to safely lift 25 pounds and assist in moving patients, and to stand on feet over extended periods -Works overtime, floats to other areas and works weekends and holidays
