Texas PTA, the largest child advocacy association in Texas and located in the heart of downtown Austin, is seeking candidates for an in-office, bilingual support position in the Member Services Department. Member Services supports volunteer leaders across the state of Texas in order to fulfill our mission -to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.
The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish, have exceptional customer service skills, great attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects without direct supervision. Candidate must exhibit competency in understanding and analyzing data, as well as a proficiency with Microsoft and Google productivity products. PTA or other volunteer management experience preferred.
A significant amount of the workday will be dedicated to interfacing with a database to assist and advise the statewide volunteer leaders by phone and email. The position will be responsible for association translation when necessary, responding to a high volume of calls and emails, as well as managing a variety of processes independently, while collaborating with staff from all departments, this position is part of a cohesive, "can-do" team.
Occasional travel and evening or weekend work will be required. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Great benefits and paid time off package, new office building 2 blocks west of the Capitol.
