The Associate Director for Admissions will be assigned to the Drucker School of Management and assist in the oversight of recruitment activities for the school and university. The position serves as a supervisor and lead for other assigned recruitment and admissions personnel. Under the direction of the Director of Admissions, the incumbent works collaboratively with the Dean of the Drucker School and academic directors of affiliated programs on strategic recruitment planning and execution to meet desired enrollment outcomes.
This position collaborates with departments across campus such as marketing and communications on recruitment and enrollment initiatives to bring in diverse and qualified graduate students to the university. Primary responsibilities include monitoring travel and recruitment expenditures, working on new student enrollment and student experience initiatives, working with institutional research to provide accurate admissions and enrollment data, collaborating on enrollment projection modeling, and conducting on-boarding and training program for recruiters and student ambassadors.
The regular hours for this position are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. Hours may vary due to needs of the University, School, or department(s).
School & Program Recruitment
Serve as one of the lead recruiters for the Drucker School’s growing suite of management and specialized master’s programs. Program assignment will be dependent on the incumbent’s experience.
Meet personal enrollment goals in assigned program area(s) and support other recruiters in affiliated programs in meeting their enrollment goals.
Coordinate and participate recruiting activities such as presentations, career fairs, webinars, info sessions, office and campus interviews, Grad Fairs, conferences and other platforms as needed domestically and internationally; assist in the development of diversity recruiting efforts across targeted campuses; initiate relationships with niche student organizations and ensure we are advancing our diversity and equity initiatives.
Work with events staff members to plan and execute targeted admissions events that utilize faculty, alumni and partners to assist in yielding the class.
Assist in identifying and selecting successful candidates; critically evaluate candidates to have the necessary skills as well as the passion to be successful in graduate school.
Work collaboratively with faculty and staff to ensure that recruiting strategies align with program offerings and market demand.
Manage the accuracy of data for prospects, inquiries, and applicants.
Ensure website content related to programs and admissions are updated and accurate.
Conduct annual competitor analysis and maintain a working knowledge of competitor institutions program offerings and applicable year to year changes.
Work in active partnership with International Recruitment, International Services and the International Scholars Program to execute target recruitment activities in specific international regions.
Conduct recruitment training of newly hired personnel.
Create training calendars and documents.
Act as a peer leader to answer questions as they arise.
Assist in hiring as a member of the hiring committee.
Moderate regular recruitment team meetings among recruitment personnel and act as a liaison between the university and recruitment staff to deliver information.
Work with the Director of Admissions to develop and implement an on-boarding and training program for recruiters and admissions employees.
Ensure standard level of excellence among all recruitment activities –including, but not limited to, information sessions on and off campus, material presentation at recruitment events, and response time to inquiries.
Develop strong relationships with faculty and staff to support them in recruitment and enrollment efforts.
Facilitate collaborative working sessions with faculty as well as academic and administrative leadership in enrollment and marketing, to identify and prioritize key selling messages, identify audience segments including recent graduates, the fully-employed, and potential executive education partners. Develop recruitment plans and marketing communications that attract those audiences.
Data and Reporting
Lead efforts within assigned units to support high-level use of the CRM (Slate) and SIS (PeopleSoft) in tracking analytics and creating and assessing metrics to support a data-driven and technically skilled recruiting team.
Develop and maintain reporting metrics for on and off campus events. Capture ROI from targeted outreach events; provide creative and cost-effective ideas to innovate recruitment strategy; utilize campus technology solutions to track and benchmark critical data.
Record, update, and analyze all recruiting data for program areas and marketing initiatives.
Compile reporting metrics from other recruitment personnel for recurring and year-end reporting.
Assist in evaluation of current recruitment efforts to determine efficacy for future recruitment cycles.
Work with institutional research and marketing to provide accurate admissions and enrollment data,
Serve as liaison to other offices on campus with student and support services.
Enrollment Services (General)
Recruit for all CGU programs while maintaining a specific school / program focus.
Establish relationships with CGU’s Student Success Units (career management, writing center, preparing future faculty), faculty, and students to initiate activities on campus to promote CGU including but not limited to advertising, career fairs, information sessions, speaker series events and on–campus interviews; cultivate on–going relationship building with current students to help achieve campus recruiting vision; develop new and innovative methods to differentiate CGU from peer universities.
Collaborate across Enrollment Services departments (Admissions, Recruitment, Financial Aid, and Student Engagement) to achieve desired enrollment results.

A Bachelor’s degree or any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Master’s degree preferred. A minimum of 3 years experience as an Admissions Counselor or Recruiter within a college or University setting or any combination of experience in similar recruitment settings. Demonstrated program or project management experience is required for this position. Must possess a valid California Driver’s License and meet CGU’s authorized driver’s requirements. Successful completion of criminal background and DMV checks required for final candidate.
