Job Summary The Career Development Center is committed to assisting our students, postdocs and alumni with career planning, including career exploration, graduate and professional school advising and job search strategies for full-time employment, internships and related opportunities. We offer support at all stages of career development, from exploration of interests and career options to job hunting specifics such as mock interviews and salary negotiation techniques.
The Career Programming Coordinator will work closely with the Director and other Career Center staff to develop and implement student programming addressing the needs of the Caltech community.

Collaborate with student leadership, clubs, and other groups to increase participation in career center programming
Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with students currently underserved by the career center
Collect and provide feedback to the Director and Career Center based upon student experiences
Work closely with the Director and other Career Center staff to coordinate and develop a peer mentoring program
Work closely with the Director and other Career Center staff to coordinate and develop student-alumni engagement promoting an improved student experience and career outcomes
1-3 years of experience with student programming including experience with alumni-student engagement
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
Innovative thinker with strong analytical and communication competencies
Understanding of and familiarity with STEM fields
A high level of professionalism required, with strong interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills
A demonstrated ability to develop and sustain strong relationships and partnerships with student leadership; employers; alumni; faculty; other key members of the campus community
Strong oral and written communications skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks with ease
Team player with a strong ability to work in a collaborative, high performance team environment.
Proficiency utilizing MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; database management software; and internet research
Event management experience
Bachelor's degree preferred
