This position supports the core business activities of the CHRISTUS Health Plans by providing high level analytic and strategic insight. Provides expert support for the achievement of the department, health plan, and system level initiatives. Under the direction of the director, the project manager is responsible for assuring compliance with regulatory licensing and applications. Status/report off all active projects will be reported on a real time basis.
Serves as a project manager on major complex projects, initiatives and/or implementation projects.
Oversees assigned projects including monitoring project performance and compliance with applicable specifications, rules, regulations and laws.
Responsible for the preparation of initial and final documentation necessary for delivery to customer, systems and programming; insures quality and timeliness of work performed and the final products.
Develop organizational tools such as project plans, timelines, meeting agendas, conceptual models and presentations to document and communicate project goals and needs, engage stakeholders and define deadlines and accountabilities.
Establishes schedules and methods for achieving project goals and objectives; and reviews work products, makes corrections and coordinates accordingly with health plan leadership.
Facilitates communication across distinct functional teams such as medical management, operations, analytics and IT, finance, state and local government, vendors, consultants, executive leadership.
Develop, maintain and activate systems for deviations from project plans to facilitate decision-making, adjustment to plans and communication to project leadership.
Highly skilled at prioritization and coordination with internal and external resources.
Understanding of current technologies with ability to develop work plans and evaluate annually.
Serve as liaison with departments to ensure focus on quality related initiatives.
Ability to facilitate strategic and tactical plans for quality improvement programs including needs assessments, evaluations, root cause analysis and interventions.
Highly detail oriented, well-organized and comfortable with shifting priorities (experience in a highly regulated environment preferred).
Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Proficient in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.

Experience working in Health Plan Quality Department preferred.
Experience managing/implementing effective HEDIS and STARS programs and coordinating NCQA accreditation activities preferred.
NCQA Health plan accreditation experience a plus.
CPHQ certification considered a plus.

Strong organizational and time management skills allowing you to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are required as is the ability to research issues, prepare evaluations of problems and recommend viable solutions.Candidates should have good attention to details and possess the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Exposure to regulatory audits including documentation, onsite preparation, and response to corrective action plans.
Demonstrated skills in project tracking and management are required.
