Under minimal supervision, the Application Engineer supports the development and maintenance of the assigned program. Provides technical knowledge as part of a team to develop and maintain systems to meet business needs. Instructs, directs and checks the work of analysts. Formulates and defines system scope and objectives for assigned projects. The engineer devises or modifies procedures and systems to solve complex problems considering software application limitations, operating time, and desired results and leads assignments to completion. Engineer will prepare detailed specifications or requirements in collaboration with customers on which enhancements and custom development will be developed. May be required to participate in coding, such as scripting or development in automation and configuration tools. Assumes a lead role in documentation, testing, debugging and vendor tickets/vendor supported troubleshooting. Creates and runs ad hoc reports. Engineer will assist with automating and maintaining recurring processes and reports. Is competent to work on most phases of application life cycle, reporting analysis, and coding and/or support activities
* Bachelor's Degree (Required) 1. Bachelor's Degree required. Concentration in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or Healthcare related field Preferred.2. Six (6) years of experience programming and/or supporting an ERP system or other enterprise software system required.3. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree:a. Associate's degree and 9 years relevant experience required.b. HS/GED certificate and 12 years relevant experience required.
