Operates Freightliner box truck (28,000lb) to facilitate all hospital bulk deliveries to and from all Denver Health ancillary clinics and external vendors. Covers Denver Health Couriers during absences or vacancies. Covers stat lab transfers and ad-hoc deliveries as necessary.
1. Operates the Freightliner box truck and performs general laboring duties to load and unload the truck.2. Sub for all Denver Health Couriers on any of the Denver Health courier routes when necessary. 3. Transfer stat labs to and from the Denver Health main lab, all ancillary locations, and ad-hoc locations.4. Perform a full range of equipment operations, inspections for such things as fluid levels, leaks, condition of hoses and belts, tire pressure, brake lights, and related areas as may be required by this agency or the Colorado Department of Transportation for all vehicles in the department and material handling equipment.5. Completes work reports, vehicle inspection reports, and paperwork as required.6. Observes all common safety practices associated with small engine, hand and power tool equipment operations. Forklift and small equipment certification.7. Performs preventative maintenance of equipment such as adding oil, greasing, changing bulbs, and adding water to the powered pallet jack batteries. 8. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities1. The ability to navigate the Denver metro area to insure all municipal street weight limits are adhered to.2. Working knowledge of vehicles, small equipment and machinery in order to identify issues or potential issues.3. Basic mechanical skills to perform minor repairs and maintenance to vehicles, minor equipment and machinery.4. Customer service skillsComputers and Technology1. Basic computer knowledge of, Word, Excel, Android, Lawson, and Outlook, preferred.
