Responsible for delivering the highest level of service to all Members. This includes but is not limited to the opening and ending of service, billing inquiries, account changes, and assisting with the management of individual accounts.
Essential Job Functions:
Post payments from walk-in and drive-thru Members.
Direct members and visitors to appropriate area when they visit the office.
Open and process mail and prepare for posting.
Maintain proper records for collection of payments from Members.
Remove payments from night drop and post to system and process.
Research payments when key information is lacking.
Process cash for daily bank deposit and checks for scanning. Daily bank run for deposits and replenish cash drawers.
Balance and cash out cash drawers daily to ensure accuracy.
Update records such as address and name changes.
Screen information from the Lock Box and update information to Meridian.
Maintain work environment in a professional manner.
Perform any and all other functions and requirements of the position as may be from time to time deemed necessary by the Lead Member Services Representative, Senior Director of Member Services of Director of Member Services.
Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
1-2 years related experience
Coordinating Skills – Must be able to multi-task and quickly shift from one task to another. Time management skills are a must in order to accomplish all daily tasks required.
Communication Skills – hand inquiries regarding bills, changes to accounts, etc. Dealing with disgruntled members. Maintain friendly and positive attitude when servicing members.
Analytical Skills – Must be able to analyze accounts in order to properly explain cost, fees, etc. in a manner that can be understood by Members.
Computer Skills – Must be able to navigate through the system in order to post payment and/or research accounts. Must be able to communicate with Members, as well as peers.
Influencing Skills – Enlighten the Members in such a way that they see the true value of the product and services provide by the Cooperative.
Heavy lifting or moving of materials: Frequently, Up to 10 pounds or less
