The Perioperative RN Informatics Assistant Manager provides day to day support and guidance for integrating clinical information systems into practice. Through their function, the RN Informatics Assistant Manager maintains the integrity of the preference cards and accelerates the benefit and improvements available from various applications utilized by clinical staff.Â They are integrated within the IT community and the broader nursing community to ensure seamless integrations and interdisciplinary care for our patients and families.
The role of this position provides operational support Â for perioperative clinical information systems to include clinical IT Liaison, preference card system maintenance, supply chain optimization, point of contact for front line staff as it relates to IT concerns, Periop EMR and training and continuing education, and facilitation for new and ongoing multi-disciplinary projects. Generating reports that assist in process improvement, quality outcomes and ensure capture of appropriate charges.

Minimum Education:â¢Bachelorâs Degree in Nursing required upon hire/transfer.â¢Masterâs Degree in Nursing or in progress (strongly preferred) * Masterâs Degree in Nursing may be in lieu-of Bachelorâs Degree in Nursing.Minimum Experience/Knowledge:â¢Minimum 3 yearsâ experience in acute care Operating Room as an RN.â¢Computer experience requiredâ¢Past experience with:1.Minimum of 2 years formal or informal experience in an educator role preferred2.Coordination of clinical information systems strongly preferred.3.Quality (performance improvement process) and / or Project management preferred4.Demonstrated ability to effectively work with physicians, staff, and patients5.Demonstrated expertise with EMR documentation and knowledge of regulatory requirements Required License/Certification:â¢Valid California Registered Nurse licenseâ¢Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) required. If no certification upon hire, must obtain within one (1) year of hireâ¢Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider card from the American Heart Associationâ¢Fire and Safety Certification. If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only)
