Responsibilities The QA Release Management Analyst 3 involves developing, evaluating, revising, applying and documenting technical quality assurance protocols, methods and test plans to inspect and test a variety of IT processes, software and products. Ensures activities and items are in compliance with both campus, medical center or Office of the President IT quality assurance standards and applicable government regulations and software/product design specifications to determine and approve software releases. Performs analysis and identifies trends in the inspection of IT processes, software and products and recommends corrective actions when necessary. Ensures that established inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed. Involved in developing, auditing, monitoring and enforcing the established release management processes and policies in support of cross-domain configuration integration, testing, completeness and consistency. May ensure compliance to UC and/or external specifications and standards
In-depth knowledge of software functions and analysis.
In-depth understanding of the design, development and analysis of software.
In-depth skills associated with software design, modification, implementation and analysis.
In-depth skills in software testing equivalent to 2 years' experience.
Interpersonal skills in order to work with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.
Self-motivated, ability to learn quickly, meet deadlines, works independently and as part of a team and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
Experience creating test plans, scripts and scenarios.
Experience in defect management
Experience executing and coordinating testing and validation of documented workflows and designs system test scenarios to support appropriate workflows.
Experience leading and participating in complex system testing projects, working cooperatively with team members to coordinate assigned duties with the overall program and related projects.
Experience with implementation and support of complex multi-vendor integrated solutions.
In-depth understanding of the use of automated testing tools, including skill to perform automated procedures.
Understands compliance requirements for applicable industry or agency standards.
Knowledge of the ISO standards and the CMMI (Compatibility Maturity Model Integration) model.
Thorough knowledge of other areas of IT.
Knowledge of department processes and procedures.
Skilled in software lifecycle management.
Experience creating and tracking the release improvement process to be applied across all IT domains and initiates new projects related to release management.
Experience working with clinical information systems or system implementation teams for complex projects and/or applications.
Experience working with healthcare information systems.
Experience implementing an electronic medical record.
This position may be asked to work outside normal business hours during support of application implementation go lives and system upgrades and provides level 3 support during on-call rotations.
Successfully complete training or certifications as required by hiring manager. Some travel may be required for training or certification.
Required to pass Epic certification exam in two attempts within three months.
Must be able to travel to Wisconsin to attend Epic certification training sessions.
Must be able to flexible hours as needed to meet committed project dates.
Must be self-directed and able to work autonomously in a professional and productive manner.
