The primary function of the RRT Team Coordinator is to provide care in the clinical setting as well as manage the daily functions and activities of the transport clinical staff. Responsible for planning, assessing and providing optimal Respiratory Management and Patient Care for the normal and high risk patient. The RRT Team Coordinator is part of a team composed of a Transport Therapists, Transport Nurses and Transport Paramedics all of which are under the medical control of a Texas Licensed Physician.
Associates degree required, Bachelor's preferred
Minimum of three years of Transport RT experience in a neonatal/pediatric setting
Current Texas Licensure, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
CPR BLS required (Required before they start?) Yes
Certified PALS, NRP, STABLE, TNCC, ACLS within one year of hire
Must obtain an advanced certification relevant to the practice area within two years of hire date: C-NPT or equivalent
