VA San Diego Healthcare System is currently recruiting a Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor (LPMHC) with a degree from CACREP accredited program to work as part of the Center of Excellence for Stress and Mental Health (CESAMH). The incumbent is expected to be able to independently provide a full range of psychological assessment services and diagnose mental disorders, including substance use disorders, particularly for complex and challenging patients who have any of a range of medical conditions requiring skilled psychotherapeutic interventions. This position is assigned to the eScreening Core of CESAMH and will primarily be involved with program evaluation and/or research, and program management activities.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: • Facilitating implementation and evaluation of the VA’s eScreening program to support screening and symptom monitoring in research and clinical programs, including Transition Care Management, Mental Health, Primary Care, and other specialty and research programs. • Assist in management and supervision of day-to-day operations of eScreening system, research assistants, system technicians, and program volunteers. • Provides education to clinical staff and leadership on value and benefits of eScreening program. • Provides system training and consultation to staff and leadership for use in clinical care and research. • Facilitates liaisons with other treatment programs and settings in order to effectively coordinate services. • Attends and participates in administrative and informational meetings held by CESAMH, the Service Chief, and Facility Director. • Acts as program SME and liaison with OI&T and other key partners in ensuring desired clinical use functionalities are established and maintained. • Facilitates process improvement workshops with clinical staff, leadership, and other key stakeholders.
