OR Assistant Manager (Clinical Support Supervisor 2)
The Division of Perioperative Services delivers patient care through provision and management of capital, supplies, instrumentation, and technological support as well as human resources in collaboration with medical and para-medical staff to effectively manage patients undergoing elective, urgent, and emergent surgical intervention. This position is responsible for assisting with patient care in close working relationships with the surgical team.

Responsibilities This position is responsible for overseeing the provision of technical support to the peri-operative care of patients that includes, but is not limited to, quality control and maintenance of safe and functioning equipment and instrumentation, operation of video endoscopy systems, navigational image guided systems, microscopes, lasers, robotic surgical systems and other complex medical devices. The incumbent leads team members across multiple departments with implementation of process improvement initiatives associated with, and in alignment of, the Heath System's overarching strategic plans and goals. This position is responsible for Safety programs and assignments, worker's comp reports, injury prevention, safety procedures, training, safety self inspection, and resource documents. This position is directly involved in maintaining policies & procedures, leading special projects, and participating in health system committees. This position is also responsible for the procurement of goods and services and collaborates with the O.R. Business Manager. This includes the management and tracking of equipment and supplies, product evaluations, vendor relationships, interdepartmental relationships and cost reduction initiatives across the Division of Perioperative Service. Required Qualifications
Work experience as a Surgical Technician in a similar setting.
Graduation from an accredited Surgical Tech program.
NBSTSA (or equivalent) certification is preferred.
Bachelor's degree in a health care related field is preferred.
Supervisory experience managing a team or unit.
Must be able to work overtime and flex schedule to meet the Division of Perioperative Services needs and attend meetings.
Must wear the proper attire in all areas of the department and throughout the Division of Perioperative Services
Sitting/standing for prolonged periods, in a close environment with others, with frequently bending/stooping/walking, climbing (steps) and reaching (including overhead).
Physically able to lift at least 25 pounds.
Physically ability to push/pull > 100lbs.
Physical strength to assist in moving and/or lifting hospital equipment and supplies.
This position may be subject to a criminal background investigation, drug screen, Live Scan fingerprinting, medical evaluation clearance, and functional capacity assessment.
