Responsibilities This position is responsible for the timely preparation of food items according to set recipe specifications in a clean, safe, and sanitary environment. This position is also responsible for one or more service areas such as, Trayline, cafeteria, cafeteria grill, deli, catering etc. This is the fully operational level for this series. Incumbents are responsible for setup and preparation of items for all Food Service, according to recipes to meet Department standards. Incumbent performs duties requiring previous training or experience in food preparation techniques.
High volume/professional setting.
Demonstrated ability to provide high volume and quality food products.
Working knowledge of recipes/methods.
Serv Safe course certification desired.
Incumbents are subject to and must comply with all standards and guidelines as determined by the local regulatory agencies. These may include, but are not limited to, F.D.A. - Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services - Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and California Retail Food Code (CalCode).
Must have the ability to bend, stoop, or stand for long periods of time, move heavy containers exceeding 50 lbs.
