Summary of Duties: This Farmer 3 position's primary duties are providing animal care as directed and maintaining accurate records of daily animal care. This position may need to work occasional weekends and holidays per business needs. This position specializes in maintenance of animal care facilities. Management may also assign other duties and priorities when time allows or weather permits. Responsibilities include performing fencing or animal penning repairs, new fence construction, and making daily observations of facilities and pens to ensure facility security and animal safety. Must have a working knowledge in computer skills. This position must operate a variety of heavy equipment and farm machinery including but not limited to:, feed trucks, dump trucks, wheel tractors, PTO driven post augers, skid steer loaders and all related hand tools such as chain saws, circular saws, welders, wrenches, drills and all other types of hand tools, etc.
Required Qualifications: Three years of experience in farm work or maintaining livestock, at least six months must include experience directing the work of others; OR equivalent education/experience.
