The Department of Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California is seeking outstanding applicants to fill a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant position in the Division of Medical Oncology.Â Under general supervision and in accordance with standardized procedures, the nurse practitioner/physician assistant performs physicalÂ examinationsÂ and treats common episodicÂ and chronic health care problems,Â counselsÂ patientsÂ and families, monitors patient progress, and assists with clinical research projects.Â The nurse practitioner/physician assistant works in collaboration with otherÂ healthÂ care team members, consulting and referring as appropriate, but retains responsibility for ongoing clinical management of oncology patients. Successful candidates will have strong clinical skills and interest in serving a diverse patient population in both private and public clinical practice.Â We offer a highly competitive salary package with excellent benefits.Â Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications. This position will be hired as a clinical instructor.
Minimum Field of Expertise: Possession of current certificate of completion from a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program. Current and valid California State RN and Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant licenses, and Basic Cardiac Life Support certification. Clinical experience.
