Post Doctoral Fellow

A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available in Dr. Beom-Chan Lee's laboratory in the Center for Neuromotor and Biomechanics Research (Department of Health and Human Performance, University of Houston). The Center is a focal point for multidisciplinary studies of human movement control, understanding performance in different populations, and improving quality of life for people disabled by injuries, neurological or peripheral diseases, etc. For information about Dr. Lee’s  laboratory, see http://grants.hhp.uh.edu/leegroup/

The postdoctoral research associate will assist in the development and translation of smartphone-based technologies for rehabilitative use by people with balance disorders; designing innovative devices for self-care and patient health; and conducting research experiments in biomechanics, motor behavior, and the neurosciences.

Job Duties

• Design, develop, and test smartphone-based mHealth (mobile health) technologies

• Plan, direct, and conduct specialized and advanced human-centered research experiments

• Evaluate and analyze data and maintain accurate records of experimental data and protocols

• Summarize research findings and publish results in peer-reviewed publications and at conferences

• Maintain laboratory functionality and operations

• Contribute to establishing new research protocols and procedures

• May supervise research staff and graduate/undergraduate students
