Macadam Warehouse (South Waterfront) is a medical supply warehouse environment with most work taking place at the Logistics Center. This is not your typical warehouse environment because of the product and supplies that are fulfilled. Forklift, pallet jack, picking technology.
The overall purpose of this position is to provide customers with the goods and services needed to perform the functions of their jobs and support the OHSU mission of healing, teaching and discovery. Staff in this position frequently communicate with customers to identify problems. The primary duties are focused on warehousing, medical supply delivery, restocking/maintaining POU machines, and linen distribution/collection. This position is the first level of three within this job classification and reports to Logistics Managers.
Must be able to read and write English and have basic mathematical skills
Must be able to maintain compliance with organizational guidelines and policies
Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving history
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Two years of warehouse experience and two years of customer service experience
Working knowledge of hospital materials management distribution systems
Medical supply familiarity, knowledge of OHSU systems, and medical terminology
Understanding how to set min/maxs; experience using handheld counting devices; forklift training
