The ADHD Research Study at OHSU is conducting multiple studies on children in the areas of attention, behavior, learning, neuro-imaging and cognitive functioning under the direction of Principal Investigator, Joel Nigg, Ph.D.
The Research Assistant 1 will assist as the main point of contact for families interested in the study. The majority of duties will be conducting phone applications, scheduling, confirming, and greeting families who participate; preparing and processing materials needed for each research visit; maintaining the staff calendar and helping with recruitment. Other duties include data entry, filing, copying, and other general duties in support of the goals of the study. Will also attend weekly laboratory staff meetings with the PI and senior staff members. A regular work schedule will be assigned and must be maintained.
Bachelor's degree (4 yr) OR Associate's degree (2 yr) and 2 years of relevant experience OR No degree and 4 years of relevant experience
Strong skills in oral, email and written communication
Strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, good attendtion to detail, teamwork-oriented and a positive attidude
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Experience with Outlook, scheduling, and customer service
Comfort and strong interest in learning new software, particularly Excel and Access
Interest in mental health or healthcare
Previous leadership experience
Previous office experience is desired, specifically knowledge about phone systems, filing, and supplies
