Tri-City Medical Center, a state-of-the-art, award-winning 368-bed facility with an average daily census of 200, is certified by The Joint Commission as a thrombectomy-capable, Primary Stroke Center with a Gold Plus award from the American Heart Association and is classified as a Full Trauma II Center and Level III NICU. Tri-City Medical Center also has an outpatient infusion center, retail pharmacy, and participates in the 340B drug discount program.
About the Pharmacy: The decentralized inpatient pharmacy is open 24/7. In addition to the Director, the pharmacy is supported by a staff of 38 full time pharmacists and technicians. Automation includes Cerner CPOE, Pyxis ES Dispensing Cabinets, PharmacyKeeper Suite, Talyst Carousel and inventory management, Alaris Infusion Pumps, and more. The pharmacy is managed by Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) and the Director of Pharmacy is a CPS employee. All other staff are employed by the hospital.
About the Job: As Director of Pharmacy, CPS will rely on you to oversee all pharmacy operations and recommend innovations for the practice and function of the hospital pharmacy to administration as well as carry out mutually agreed upon programs.

BS or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
Current State of California Pharmacist license in good standing.
5+ years of experience as a Pharmacist in an acute-care hospital setting. Experience must include pharmacy leadership and experience using and overseeing comparable automation.
Ability to solve problems, establish trust and credibility.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, respond to client concerns and work cooperatively with other staff.
Demonstrated teaching, relevant professional publications and involvement with professional organizations.
