We are looking for an Executive Level Administrative Manager to lead, supervise and oversee the Associations Member Services, Billing, and Communication departments. This position will work out of our Falcon office, located just east of Colorado Springs and near the base of one of the most famous American mountains, Pikes Peak! Responsible for overseeing the successful operations of our Member Services, Communications and Billing departments.
Assist the CEO by planning, developing, and implementing realistic and effective programs and practices for each department.
Develop effective annual departmental budgets, work plans, and capital purchases. Assist with long-term financial forecasting, including cost of service studies, and rate analysis.
Manage the Associations Member Services functions by assuring compliance with tariffs, rules and regulations, and adopted policies. Evaluates current procedures and initiates and drafts changes to Association tariffs, rules and regulations, and adopted policies as necessary to improve member relations or operating efficiencies.
Oversee the Association’s Communications function by planning, organizing, and determining the most effective methods to meet and accomplish objectives.
Oversee the Association’s Billing function in accordance with current rate schedules.
Monitor sales taxes and fees collected per applicable franchise agreements with area towns and ensures timely filing of all billing related reporting.
Participate in Management Executive Team meetings to assist in future planning, establishing policies, exchanging and sharing information, reviewing wage and benefit plans, developing operating procedures, establishing departmental and cooperative objectives, and conferring on mutual issues.
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or similar discipline; ten years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. MBA is preferred.
Progressively responsible leadership experience in Public Relations/Member Services is required. Experience, preferably with an electric utility in these areas or a closely related functional area is preferred.
Paralegal Certification or experience is preferred.
Candidates should have knowledge and understanding of the utility industry, motivational and positive leadership, customer service, communications and marketing experience. Familiarity with the Cooperative Principles is preferred.
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively, both orally and in writing. Must project a professional image and possess the ability to facilitate and make presentations to large groups.
Extensive knowledge of project management and communication/conflict resolution skills. Ability to maintain effective working relationships, and utilize creative thinking and problem-solving techniques.
Excellent information systems skills, with the ability to clearly understand the Association needs, how various functions and systems integrate, and impact the overall effective and efficient operation of the Association.
Proven success in motivating and leading others within a team environment. Skilled in the proper techniques of interviewing, hiring, coaching, appraising performance, disciplining, and other supervisory skills.
