Job Summary Position will oversee the District wide Knowledge/Process Management (KM) program along with Digital Resources & Collection Management (DRCM) and Records Management & Archives (RMA) programs across the College.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensures the efficient and effective operation of the unit under the one college principle
Support and promote TCC's 3 Goals 8 Principles initiative
With the Chief Technical Officer, this position will champion, establish and manage an IT Knowledge Management program. This program will capture the processes and procedures utilized by all the departments throughout the College.
Adapt to the needs of the 8 Principles as they evolve, particularly the Learning Commons Principle
Develops, monitors, and maintains division/department budgets
Provides supervisory guidance to all divisional/department employees
Serve as the IT liaison with all College libraries
Oversee the operation and maintenance of all library databases/electronic resources
Attends all IT meetings as required
Purchases required materials, equipment, etc. within district guidelines
Assists in the employment, evaluation, and termination of all program positions
Cooperates and coordinates with other internal and external entities such as Texas State Library and Archives
Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
Supports the values of the College: diversity, teaching excellence, student success, innovation and creativity and service to the College
Supports the mission, values and 3 goals and 8 principles of the College

Master's degree in Library/Information Science from an American Library Association accredited program and seven (7) years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, certification, and related experience
Doctorate in Library/Information Science from an ALA accredited program
Experience with Enterprise Content Management (ECM) systems such as Laserfiche, Docushare, or FileNet
Experience implementing Knowledge Management programs across medium to large enterprises
Knowledge of and experience with setting up guidelines, processes and assigning data classification, data types and data sets for day to day usage, governance and security across varied departments and divisions especially in higher education
Knowledge of and experience with federal and state records laws, schedules, and storage
Knowledge, Skills and Ability
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience working with computerized systems
