Social Media & Administrative Assistant (Temporary)
Primary Purpose: This position will assist in implementing online/social media marketing strategies. They will help to develop original content (on social media platforms, for blog articles and video), and develop ways to attract more views in order to increase web/social media traffic and community member engagements, ultimately increasing number of clients/reservations booked.
This is a temporary part-time non-benefit eligible 12 hour per week position.
Essential Functions: 1. Design, write/create and publish posts for Morris Chapels social media/marketing platforms, and post the weekly blog article.
2. Meet with staff and/or potential clients as needed to promote and/or secure Morris Chapel events/programs/reservations.
3. Attend community tabling events (wedding/events expos).
4. Assist with events as needed to document the events on our social media platforms. This may include conducting and filming/recording interviews with attendees/vendors/sponsors, and taking event photos.
5. This position will work as part of Morris Chapels staff team, and will work collaboratively with other staff and/or affiliate campus ministers in order to maintain consistency in messaging and branding.
6. Other duties as assigned.
Associates degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be available for occasional weekend and evening work.
Must be proficient in current technology software and systems, including but not limited to: Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Android Smartphones, Social Media Platforms, etc.
Must possess a working knowledge of designing and utilizing social media ad campaigns.
Preferred bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and one (1) year experience in social media/marketing and related field.
This position will work as part of Morris Chapels Team in collaboration with Religious & Spiritual Life; employee will work collaboratively with other staff in order to maintain consistency in messaging and branding.
Must be of good character and reputation, professional, communicate effectively, and able to follow Morris Chapel policy & procedures.

Duties require constant sitting and repetitive motion while using computer keyboard and phone. Frequent walking, standing and simple grasping. Work Environment/Work Week/Travel: Work performed during standard business hours. May require occasional weekends and evening work.
