The Medical Laboratory Science Division, Department of Pathology, University of Utah School of Medicine, invites applications for a 12-month non-tenure track position beginning July 1, 2020. Primary responsibilities include co-teaching general clinical laboratory courses, including: hematology, microbiology, chemistry, and immunology in a rapidly growing NAACLS-accredited Bachelor of Science program. The successful candidate will participate in program and curriculum development, advise undergraduate students, and engage in research or other scholarly activity. There is opportunity for administrative responsibilities in the Medical Laboratory Science Division. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience. Applicants must be certified as an MT(ASCP) or MLS(ASCP), possess a Ph.D. or M.S. degree, have a minimum of 3 years’ experience directly related to the clinical laboratory, and have excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Preference will be given to applicants who have college or clinical teaching experience, demonstrated scholarly productivity, and a record of active participation in professional societies.
