USC's Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy has a strong reputation for excellence in physical therapy clinical education and clinical practice. We invite applicants for a clinical track position of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Division of Biokinesiology & Physical Therapy. The faculty direct a total of 14 research labs and many hold secondary appointments within the USC Keck School of Medicine, the university-wide Neuroscience Graduate Program, the Viterbi School of Engineering, and the Childrenâs Hospital of Los Angeles. The Division also has an extensive clinical service, comprising 50 clinical faculty practicing in three locations.
We seek applicants who are nationally recognized as researchers in biokinesiology, which we define as the integrative study of the biological bases of human movement, both normal and disordered. Applicants are expected to have a history of post-doctoral training in a related area, an active research program and a strong record of published, extramurally-funded research. All faculty in the Division are expected to teach in our large and highly ranked DPT, MS, and PhD programs, and therefore we expect that candidates will have experience and a strong and enthusiastic interest in teaching at this level.
