At Freeport Veterinary Medical Center and Wild Peach Vet Clinic FVMC and WPVC are looking for 1-2 associate doctors. We are seeking veterinarians that have a positive attitude, are personable, have a great work ethic, enjoy hands on learning, and can communicate well with clients and staff. New graduates are welcome to apply! We see mostly small animal patients, but candidates with interests in mixed practice or avian and exotics will find opportunity here as well! FVMC is a 4 Doctor mixed animal practice (90% SA/ 10%LA) and WPVC is a 1+ Dr. clinic that sees small animals and avian/exotic patients.
Where are we located?
We are 45 minutes south of Houston, just outside of Lake Jackson and are close to the beach community of Surfside. This area is growing rapidly, with many good paying career opportunities for significant others/spouses close by. Whether you prefer the urban life of the city, or spending time in the great outdoors, the area offers lots of activities. Go to the beach. Or head to Houston for shopping, dining, or to catch a concert. Our community is a top birding location due to its proximity along major migratory pathways. It is also a very dog friendly community with many pubs allowing for furry friends on the patios.
Want to jet away for a vacation or to visit family and friends? IAH is just a 45 minute drive up the road and has multiple daily direct flights to most airports. Galveston is also just down the road with many vacation cruise lines departing weekly. About Our Hospitals- The practices are privately owned and operated by a 2012 TAMU graduate and a 2013 OVC graduate. Our staff is young, energetic, fun loving and knowledgable. We have a lot of drive and passion for vet med and enjoy a collaborative atmosphere. Current veterinarians enjoy mentoring new associates. We are strong proponents of supplemental training and CE that enhances our client services and provides enrichment for our staff members. We work closely with the local SPCA and a large well managed local rescue organization. Our practices feature a modern surgical suite, radiology, and treatment areas. We have also recently renovated our client waiting area/reception and exam rooms. Our facility has full point of care diagnostics including CBC & Blood Chemistry Analyser, Vetgard+ Wireless Monitoring Equipment (including ECG, SPO2, respiration, temperature, TCO2, NIPB), Digital Radiography (including dental), new Sonoscape and IBEX EVO Ultrasounds and more! We utilize cornerstone software and keep complete digital records.
