Supports the Men's and Women's Head Tennis Coach. Works closely with 25-30 student-athletes on the team, teaches classes, and works to draw potential student-athletes to Lewis & Clark. Will be responsible for assisting in all facets of planning and organizing for a highly competitive DIII program. Travel with the team, on and off court coaching, administrative duties, and other duties as assigned are expected.
What You'll Do
Recruitment of high-quality student-athletes to Lewis & Clark. From identifying prospects, coordinating visits, and helping students through the application process, the assistant should make this a big focus.
Coaching and travel with the team. Helps to ensure adequate transportation, lodging and meals. Makes sure the team is ready to compete on game day.
Development of student-athletes, mentally and physically, on and off the court. Works with student-athletes to achieve the highest level of play possible while maintaining strong academic standing.
Assists in administrative duties, scheduling, travel, procurement of equipment, record keeping, and compliance.
Works on L&C community and alumni outreach, volunteering activities for the team, social media, and other duties as assigned.
Teaches student tennis classes and staff/faculty cardio tennis classes.
High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
Ability to honor and work with all identities and individuals, particularly those who are underrepresented in the country and/or at Lewis Clark College
