Position Summary:
The Inpatient Adult Behavioral Health RN is responsible for assessing, planning,implementing and evaluating the care of the patient with a psychiatricillness. Functions to seek methods toimprove patient care on an ongoing basis. Demonstrates knowledge of regulatory law as it relates to the care ofthe mentally ill patient. When the needarises, will perform other duties as assigned.

The Medical Center of Aurora iscomprised of six campus in Aurora and Centennial, CO, including the MainCampus, North Campus (Behavioral Health and Wellness Center), CentennialMedical Plaza, Saddle Rock ER, Spalding Rehabilitation Hospital, SpaldingRehabilitation at P/SL and a medical office building at Green ValleyRanch. The main campus is a level II trauma Facility with Primary StrokeCertification and Chest Pain Certification accreditation, serving theeastern metro area and I-70 corridor.

Qualifications
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
RNLicense in the State of Colorado.
Compactlicense acceptable but must obtain Colorado RN License within 90 days of hire.
CurrentBLS certification through the American Heart Association.
CPIcertification within 3 months of hire and re-certification every yearthereafter.
Education:
Graduateof an accredited school of nursing.
BSNPreferred.
Experience:
Minimum of three years acute inpatientpsychiatric experience preferred.
SpecialQualifications:
Abilityto communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and otherhealth care team members.
Abilityto work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care.
Strongcritical thinking skills.
Abilityto maintain healthy personal boundaries, protecting the therapeutic integrityof the nurse patient relationship.
