ResponsibilitiesThe Healthy Planet Applications Analyst is the primary application support supporting the Ambulatory Clinics increasing demand for Healthy Planet reporting tools for patients with chronic diseases and conditions. The Healthy Planet Applications Analyst will work closely with others on the application team to coordinate all system issues that arise during the use of the application(s) by the Ambulatory Clinics. Knowledgeable about the procedures, workflows, and business operations within the end users' organizations. The Healthy Planet Applications Analyst has in-depth knowledge of the EpicCare Ambulatory system with a focus in population health management and administration and serves as a bridge between the end users, vendors, and other IS support teams. The Healthy Planet Applications Analyst will support the Ambulatory Clinics Leadership and Reporting team along with the UC Davis Health System Population Health Management solution. The focus of this position will be on implementing Epic healthy planet tools that focus on improving quality scores (i.e. HEDIS), lowering cost of care, and improve patient satisfaction scores at the organization for specific patient populations (i.e. at-risk arrangements with payors). Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Mathematics, Healthcare Informatics or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Epic Ambulatory certification or Healthy Planet certification is required.
Experience with Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) build and configuration.
Experience working with multiple clinical information systems or system implementation teams for complex projects and/or application development.
Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of clinical practices and principles.
Experience with methods and tools for systems development life cycle as related to clinical informatics.
Epic Healthy Planet, Reporting Workbench, and/or Radar certifications is preferred.
Experience with population health management programs and/or accountable care organizations (ACO) is preferred.
Travel in the Northern California region may be required. Reliable transportation necessary for off-site visits. Mileage and travel expenses will be reimbursed per UC Policy.
Occasional out of state travel may be required to attend training.
