This recruitment will be used to fill two full-time Administrative Program Assistant positions for the INTOOSU Program at Oregon State University (OSU).
This position is responsible for assuring that OSU admissions standards are maintained and that admissions processes run smoothly, while discussing areas of critical concern with the OSU International Admissions Assistant Managers, Manager or Director.
It is expected that the person in this position consults reference materials that include, but are not limited to, state and federal guidelines, the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers, and various university publications. The incumbent must evaluate a prospective student's ability to be successful and make certain that students are able to meet OSU admissions standards once the pathway program has been successfully completed, while making the final admit/deny decision regarding OSU pathway programs and degree programs.
The person in this position is expected to liaise with a high level of professionalism and service with prospective students, OSU staff, INTOOSU staff, INTO University Partnership staff and INTO affiliated agents throughout the world to communicate OSU international admissions policies and procedures, as necessary.
Three years of office experience which included two years at full performance level and experience generating documents; and Lead work responsibility or coordination of office procedures.
Experience working in a busy administrative department.
Experience communicating and enforcing policies in a working environment.
Experience with electronic databases.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Proficient in Excel.
This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSUSTANDARD 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in Youth Programs may have additional Criminal History Checks every 24 months.
