Department Description
The primary purpose of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) is to provide a full range of rehabilitation services designed to restore patients to their optimal functional capacity. The clinic lead is responsible for coordinating physical therapy services collaborating with both the clinic manager and the manager of PM&R outpatient services. The position requires independent thinking and the ability to problem solve clinic related issues of workflow and patient access. This is a highly autonomous position requiring excellent patient care, strong intercommunication skills, and outstanding customer service. Required Qualifications

Must have a minimum of 5 years clinical experience as a physical therapist.
Must possess a current California Physical Therapy License.
Must possess a minimum of a Baccalaureate degree in physical therapy.
Must possess certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR from either American Heart Association or from UC Davis Health.
Must supply all appropriate information to maintain Hospital credentialing in a timely manner.

Special Requirements

Must see well enough to observe patient reactions and read relevant monitors, relevant device settings, and relevant written information such as the patient medical record. Must hear and speak well enough to communicate with patients and staff throughout the day. Must possess the physical strength to assist with patient mobility. Must possess sufficient mobility to traverse the distances required to serve patients throughout the institution. Must have basic computer skills. Must be able to occasionally work in the main hospital (acute care and/ or inpatient rehab setting). Must be able to occasionally work weekends and holidays.

This position may be subject to a criminal background investigation, drug screen, Live Scan fingerprinting, medical evaluation clearance, and functional capacity assessment.
