Nurse Practitioner Opportunity at Forest Park Primary Care

Functions in collaborative practice with physician(s) in private office setting. Autonomously performs patient assessment, diagnosis, and intervention according to approved protocols. Develops and maintains own volume of patients. Provides office coverage for physician(s) during periods of absence. Prescribes a variety of modalities to meet wellness and illness needs, up to and including hospital admission/discharge and prescriptive authority. Supervises private office clinical personnel as needed.

Education & Experience
Advanced Practice Registered Nurses * Master's Degree in Nursing as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. * Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience or 2 years experience as an FNP in a primary care setting strongly preferred.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification
Advanced Practice Registered Nurses: Current Texas professional registered nurse license. Current Texas professional advance practice registered nurse license. Recognition from the State Board of Nurse Examiners as an Advanced Practice Nurse. Certification as Pediatric or Family Practice Nurse Practitioner. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (CPR) required and current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required (as of October 1, 2019)
