The Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program within the Department of Counseling and Psychology at Texas A&M University â“ Central Texas is seeking applicants for adjunct instructors.Â The successful candidate(s) will be expected to teach graduate course either in person or online in the CACREP accredited Clinical Mental Health Counseling program.Â Experience and enthusiasm for teaching and working with graduate students is essential.Â A Ph.D. in Counselor Education from a CACREP accredited counseling program is preferred or a Ph.D. in related field is required. Applicants must also have a clear counselor identity (e.g. membership in professional associations, research, presentations, clinical practice)Â Please submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae,Â graduate transcripts, and three professional letters of reference.Â

Job summary/Basic Function:Â Primarily responsible for the teaching/learning process.Â Adjunct instructors are hired to teach on a temporary and part-time basis. Adjunct instructors teaching courses for credit must meet the same requirements for professional and scholarly preparation as their full-time counterparts teaching in the same discipline.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience in clinical practice or instruction related to clinical mental health counseling
Exhibit enthusiasm for graduate teaching and employing innovative teaching methods.
