Employee Health is responsible for the safe and health work environment for all employees, providers, volunteers, students and patients. In collaboration with the medical director, the manager provides strategic direction for the clinical and operational components of the service, provides leadership to encourage a culture of professional excellence in the departmental areas and organization-wide and ensures effective and efficient departmental operations and personnel management. Assures alliance with and adherence to the organization's mission, vision, values, and strategic goals. Collaborates with others (internally and externally) to ensure program priorities, performance and outcome measures, as well as regulatory requirements and standards are met. Responsible for surveillance, analysis and reporting of data related to programs. Partners on key initiatives with Infection Prevention. Position requires:Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; Master's in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Epidemiology, Business or related field, or enrolled in Master's program.At least four years of management experience in a medical settingExperience in employee health or occupational healthKnowledge and application of basic epidemiology and infection prevention principlesWorking knowledge of employee health and scope of practiceRecent direct RN experience including immunization or injectionGood computer knowledge (Word and Excel) and willingness to learn Employee Health documentation and database systemsDemonstrated leadership experience, working collaboratively with medical leadership and staffDemonstrated ability to manage the financial performance of the clinic and demonstrated knowledge of ensuring compliance with billing policiesDemonstrated ability in process improvement to optimize clinic flow and operationsDemonstrated interpersonal skills in a manner which enhances communication, promotes conflict resolution, and facilities cooperation and collaboration to meet goalsDemonstrated skill in Human Resources management such that staff are productive and function well as a team. Ability to have tough conversations as needed, counsel staff and utilize corrective disciplinary process as neededKnowledge of The Joint Commission, DOH and other regulatory agency standardsDemonstrated excellence in customer service in daily interactions with patients, family members and medical staff.
