Under the general direction of the Center for Equity for English Learner’s Executive Director and Director of Programs and Partnerships, this position will be responsible for conducting public policy research and analysis, and overseeing the preparation of internal and external publications, briefings and presentations regarding CEEL's programs, initiatives and areas of focus.
Typically a M.A. in political science, public policy with comparable experience in education, doctorate preferred. Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to keep abreast of regulation/policy changes.
Minimum 5 years' experience in progressively responsible positions directly involved in research.
Experience with schools and school systems responding to the needs of linguistically diverse students in the PK-12 system
Knowledge of research and evidenced-based programs, curriculum and instructional principles and practices appropriate for linguistically diverse students in multilingual settings
Extensive knowledge of research designs and methodologies in first and second language acquisition
Experience with managing budgets and grant writing
