PALLIATIVE MEDICINE PHYSICIAN
Santa Rosa, California
We are currently seeking a fellowship-trained BC/BE Palliative Care Physician to join us in the Department of Palliative Medicine at Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa. Our inpatient and outpatient teams include physicians, nurses, social workers and chaplains, and we work in a truly transdisciplinary manner. Our hope is to find an enthusiastic, energetic, compassionate person who has an interest in program development and education as well as clinical care.
This opportunity is an 8/10 position (equivalent of four days/week) and affords flexibility in working between inpatient and outpatient settings. The current call schedule is limited to a rotation during weekends and generally requires a minimal number of phone calls. This is a wonderful opportunity for a new or experienced physician to join the integrated and collegial system of Kaiser Permanente, with the goal of helping to ensure that patients with serious illness and their families live as well and as fully as possible.
Santa Rosa is a special, medium-sized community nestled in Sonoma County, one hour north of San Francisco. We live amongst beautiful nature and can take advantage of many outdoor activities, including hiking in the redwoods, biking alongside vineyards and scenic trips to the California coast. The Russian River Valley wine country is in our backyard, as are some world class farms and restaurants, as well as excellent schools and cultural venues.
