Responsible for performing the administrative work required in the areas of compliance with federal and state financial aid regulations, policies, and procedures, institutional policies and procedures and NJCAA policies and procedures. This position assists in the management of all compliance activities including the development, documentation, updating, and validation of all policies and procedures. Manage financial aid special programs such as TEOG and all chapters of Veterans Educational Benefits as a School Certifying Official (SCO). Responsible for gathering data for the IPEDS Report and IE and reporting it to the appropriate departments. Identify and process R2T4’s on a regular and end of semester basis. Evaluate not attending reports each semester. Complete monthly Pell Reconciliation between the Business Office and COD. Responsible for hiring and supervising Corinth Work-Study employees. Work in conjunction with First Year Experience (FYE) professors to teach students about Financial Literacy. Assist with presentations, as well as FAFSA nights, to students and parents at local area high schools, with some travel required.
Regular office hours are Monday through Thursday 8:00 am-5:00 pm and Friday 8:00 am-noon. Summer hours will be 7:30 am-5:30 pm Monday through Thursday. This position will be based out of Denton County – travel will be required between campuses. Subject to a criminal background check. Salary begins at $33,654; commensurate with experience. Associate’s Degree or higher
Required Skills & Abilities:
Ability to deal extensively and effectively with a wide variety of individuals. Excellent interpersonal skills in order to advise and direct students. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Two years of experience in the field of higher education, student services, and/or service to the public. General knowledge of computer technology and software applications in order to utilize specific software related to students financial aid.
